Fall 2017 Color Trends

Autumn 2017 Home Color Trends

As the weather cools down, here’s what is still hot in the Pacific Northwest…

1. Neutral walls, floors and cabinets. White exteriors, walls and trim continue to be popular, while we’re seeing light grey floors and painted grey or white kitchen cabinets replace the old dark cherry standards.

2. Occasional color pops–such as the jewel tones in Pantone’s Fall 2017 palette–are trending for accents like statement chairs, oversized throw pillows, rugs, and art.

3. Gold and metallic accents are prominent in light fixtures, cabinetry hardware, lamps, tables, accessories, and even fabrics!

4. Simpler, softer color schemes are trending based on the Scandinavian “lagom” concept–finding a simple, functional and harmonious balance that is neither cluttered nor clinical.
